Gerardo Hernandez

Gerardo Hernandez, a native of El Salvador, embarked on his dance journey in 2010, inspired by the legendary Michael Jackson. For six dedicated years, he showcased his talent at his school, joining the FUCO crew as a dance member. In his final year (2015), He earned the prestigious title of crew Captain and received two “Best Dancer” competition’s trophies. He also led his crew to numerous first-place victories in competitions.

In 2016, Gerardo made a life-changing move to Dallas, TX, with a dream of advancing his dance career, particularly in Hip-Hop and Latin fusion. He began as a crew member at the renowned Millennium Dance Complex and soon became a sought-after substitute instructor, teaching classes at various Dallas dance studios, including PowerHouse, DFC Headquarters, Niaps Spain Dance Space, and Centre For Dance.

Gerardo's dance journey reached new heights when he joined The Neighboorhood as a dance member. Together, they achieved an impressive fourth-place finish at World Of Dance in 2017. He joined Team Athena and secured an impressive 1st place victory at World of Dance Dallas in May 2023. He has traveled to LA and trained with the top choreographers which also earned him scholarships to prestigious dance conventions, including Misfit Dance Camp (2017), Babe Dance Camp by Buildabeast (2018), and KAOS-MVP by Lyle Beniga (2019). 

In 2019, Gerardo temporarily stepped away from teaching to focus on earning his bachelor's degree, which he successfully achieved in 2021, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas.

Today, Gerardo is in his fourth exciting year as an NBA dancer with D-Town Crew, delighting audiences during Dallas Mavericks games. He's thrilled to embark on a new chapter as a Hip Hop instructor with Dance Concept, where he continues to share his passion for dance and inspire others on their dance journeys.
